Why is brick paver maintenance important?

A regular routine of cleaning brick pavers keeps them in prime condition and aesthetically pleasing for years. Lack of care will deteriorate your investment very quickly.

How can I tell if my brick pavers need to be re-sanded?

With regular sand, you should re-sand your pavers at least once in two years but Polymeric sand is usually good for about ten years, so re-sanding costs are saved when using this type of sand.

Can you replace the sand in between the brick pavers?

Yes! We use only the best polymeric sand for your pavers. Using polymeric sand ensures the reduction of moss and weed growth and gives a clean look to the pavers. After 1-2 days after power washing is done, the sand can be replaced once the pavers are fully dry.

What is polymeric sand?

Polymeric jointing sand is a high-tech mix of graded, colored sand and a polymer binder, specially formulated for the filling of joints between pavers, slabs, or natural stones. This kind of sand hardens and remains stable, unlike conventional sand, so you can expect fewer weeds and less insect damage.

If I have conventional sand, can I still use polymeric sand?

YES. However, all the old sand must be completely removed by power washing. The entire surface must be thoroughly dry before the new polymeric sand can be installed and the sand needs at least 1.25 inches of depth to cure properly.
